2012 ACS Career Adviser Seminars

Now in their ninth consecutive year, the ACS Seminars have proven to be a success for all career practitioners around Australia. These FREE seminars are a fantastic opportunity for career advisers to further develop their industry knowledge as well as network with top recruiting organisations and education providers. Best of all, you’ll receive a certificate of professional development that can be used towards your CPD requirements.

The seminars are specifically designed to promote national awareness about current industry information, which in turn, assists career advisers in providing support to their students.

Agenda for the 2012 ACS Seminars

The seminars consist of a variety of presentations and workshop sessions from different educational bodies throughout Australia. At the large seminars you will receive 10 presentations (10 minutes each) and 4 workshops (25 minutes each) through which you will rotate during the day. In the smaller seminars (Hobart, Gold Coast and Canberra) you will rotate through 9 workshop sessions.

The presentations are a great way to receive key information required to pass on to students. At the beginning of the day you will be provided with an information pack consisting of each PowerPoint presentation for you to follow along and write additional notes. The workshops provide the benefit of exclusive time with the presenter, where you are able to talk freely and have the presentation catered to your specific needs. During each of the breaks you will have the chance to network with key educational bodies and even receive additional information and goodies from their display stands.

For more information on each location and to see who will be presenting near you, head to each of the location tabs on the left hand side.
