Research

The Faculty has a history of excellence in applied research; clients range from small businesses to large organisations and government agencies. The Faculty offers more than 150 courses at our 7 teaching schools, backed by the high-calibre work of our 2 specialised research centres:

1. The Centre for Tourism and Services Research
This Centre has undertaken numerous CRC research projects which helped industries identify opportunities, develop tools and assess market trends. The Centre recently expanded into international collaborative research, with a particular focus on environmentally-sustainable tourism.

2. The Centre for Strategic Economic Studies
This Centre seeks to understand the causes and consequences of economic, technological and social change in the contemporary world, and devise appropriate policy responses for different situations. The Centre has three main activities: research on long-term economic, social and technological issues; commercial activities, including publications, conferences and electronic data services; postgraduate teaching.
