The National Centre for Ports and Shipping:

The National Centre for Ports and Shipping (NCPS) is the Australian home of seafarer training and maritime business studies. Graduates of the NCPS keep the ports of the world running and the ships running smoothly between them.

Through close ties to industry and access to world class equipment including a fully upgraded set of marine ship simulators and operational vessels such as the Blue Fin, a 35 metre training ship, students get full training on land and sea.

The National Centre for Maritime Engineering and Hydrodynamics:

The National Centre for Maritime Engineering and Hydrodynamics is a creative hub for people who love problem solving. Dealing with everything on or in the water, NCMEH graduates design yachts, ships and surfboards. They are the people behind oil platforms, gas fields, offshore wind farms and submarine technology.

AMC Engineering students get to use world class facilities in the form of the towing tank, model test basin and cavitation tunnel. They get specialised tuition through smaller class sizes and they are the most employable, with 100% of graduates getting jobs in their chosen fields thanks to high world demand and industry respect for AMC qualifications.

With three different maritime engineering degrees on offer students go on to work in some of the most exciting industries and locations in the world.

The National Centre for Marine Conservation and Resource Sustainability:

The National Centre for Marine Conservation and Resource Sustainability is meeting the demands of people living in a changing world. The Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Environment) is a direct response to the needs of the world we live in. Students can specialise in a range of areas including global change, marine conservation, fisheries management, aquaculture, seafood quality and safety and ocean governance.

It prepares them for life in the constantly evolving worlds of climate change, marine conservation, tourism, fisheries, shipping and all levels of government, to name a few.

Thanks to a vast range of facilities including an on-site aquaculture centre, state-of-the-art labs and access to a 35m training vessel the Bluefin, students experience first-hand the very work that will be waiting for them after graduation.
